 张涛,男,汉族,1963年生于陕西省。中共党员,理学博士,研究员,博士生导师。现任中国科学院大连化学物理研究所所长。
  长期从事工业催化的研究,负责研制的新型催化剂应用于我国航天、航空、石油化工领域,三次获国家技术发明二等奖。近期主要从事航天无毒推进剂催化分解技术、环保催化及催化新材料等方面的研究。已培养毕业研究生33人(博士20人、硕士13人),发表论文170余篇(SCI收录),申请发明专利82件(国际专利2件,其中授权42件)。
  主要的学术兼职有:国家863计划专题专家组副组长,中国空间科学学会常务理事、空间材料专业委员会副主任,国际空间推进会议学术委员,中国化学会催化委员会委员,中法可持续能源联合实验室中方主任,《催化学报》副主编,《空间推进》编委会副主任,《Applied Catalysis B: Environmental》编委,《化学推进剂与高分子材料》编委,University of Poitiers(法)、四川大学、大连理工大学等大学的兼职教授,《Journal of Catalysis》、《Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research》等十余种国际期刊的论文评审专家等。

曾被国家人事部和国防科工委授予“全国国防科技先进工作者”称号,获中国科学院“参加载人航天工程突出贡献者”称号,是“首批新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选”。2003年获国家自然科学杰出青年基金,2008年获中国催化青年奖,2009年获全国“五一劳动奖章”和周光召基金会“应用科学奖”。

      Professor Tao Zhang was born in 1963 in the Shanxi Province of China. He is at present the Director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He got his Ph.D. of Science from DICP in 1989, and became a Research Professor in 1995.
      Prof. Zhang’s recent research interests involve catalytic decomposition technology for propellants, environmental catalysis, new catalytic materials, and catalytic conversion of biomass. He has been in charge of research projects for the development of long-life hydrazine decomposition catalysts, and his accomplishments were employed for attitude control of space-crafts of China. He was granted the Second Class National Technology Invention Award for his R&D work of a catalytic technology which was employed in a key air-plane design of China. A kind of novel solid deoxidants for the purification of olefins has also been invented by his research team. These deoxidants have been widely used in the petrochemical plants of China, and were bestowed another Second Class National Award of Technology Invention as well as a First Class Award of Technology Invention of CAS.
      Up to now, Prof. Zhang has supervised a total of 33 PhD and Master Degree students. He has published over 170 peer-viewed papers. 78 patents were filed by him and his co-workers, with 42 of them authorized. He was invited to be the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the ‘Chinese Journal of Catalysis’; Vice-Chairman of the Editorial Committee of the ‘Space Propulsion’;Associate Editor of the ‘Chemical Propellants & Polymeric Materials’;Editorial Board Member of ‘Applied Catalysis B: Environmental’.
